Jake is taking all my time lately

I have had dogs all my life and write articles about dogs, but this litle guy is killing me. I have an eight year old Pekingese and now I have little Jake who is 12 months old and a Pekingese/Shih Tzu. Now Pooh Bear, she stays in the yard and walks without a leash.

Jake is taken to digging holes and escaping. I cannot have heart failure anymore this week or this lifetime. I cannot stop him. He will not listen to nothing, even though he hates to be called a bad boy. He gets so lovely with mom.

His other problem is the people next door have a 6 month old Sheltie. When they are out together, they run the fence line together, but after awhile we have horrible growling and barking from my guy not the Sheltie.

I need to stop this behavior and real soon. I love him, he is priceless, I saved him from a horrible home when he was four months old. He is great in the house and on his walks, he loves to take walks. In fact when he escapes, he takes the same way we do on our walk. You could say he takes himself for a walk.

I have a huge fenced in yard just so I do not have to chain my dogs or dog. Pooh Bear, I can leave the gate open and she never leaves.

No Jake is not nuetered yet.

No he has not gone to puppy class, I have always trained my gogs, but I have always had females, no males.

I have a wood fence, the neighbors side is one like a board on the side a board on our side and so one, not a picket type in other words.

He loves to sit on the deck and look out over the yard, but spends most of his time in the house.

He once got over there when Reggie (sheltie) was out and they ran and played great.

He has another dog Pooh Bear and they chase and play, plus he has three cats he palys with in the house.

When we go for walks he does not bark or anything at other dogs. When he is in the house and other dogs walk by he goes nuts as well. But on walks he is great.
