The Great Escape Again

Mom was so busy yesterday, she forgot about us. She didn’t even post our blog. Jake here. I found another way to get into the neighbors yard and play with the new dog. Boy was dad mad. Our yard is starting to look real crappy now because there are logs, stakes and flower pots blocking my escape ways under the fence. The neighbor guy told my dad we should but in a doggie gate in the fence. Dad said, well if you want him to come over and play, just move the block that they put on their side. They think it’s funny. Mom doesn’t think so.

Pooh Bear here. We had a fire Sunday night. It was fun. I like laying in moms lounge chair with the cushion. I watch the fire and chase the ants that run away. Jake sits in the big chairs. I prefer cushion. Jake and I did play for a while after dark, but then it was time to go in and go to bed. I slept on the floor. I have been having a problem with getting sick. Mom doesn’t know why, so I slept on the floor and Jake sleepy next to dad and Bella, that big cat slept next to mom all night.

Bella here. I slept next to mom all night and she woke up with a backache because she could not move. I get right up close to her. I need to be touching her to sleep. Monday was the same old thing. Us cats do not know why we have to stay in the house when there is a fire, but Lexie is really the only one that has a fit. Mom could not get in the house for a while. I jumped all the way up on the screen again so close to the glass door, that mom could not open the screen door. She gets so mad when I do that because I weigh a lot. She is happy she has a good material for the screen.

As far as the other cats, Lexie and Jasmine, they lay around and do nothing but sleep lately. I guess they are too hot. Lexie wanted to go outside though. We are getting mad at that neighbor cat coming over and antagonizing us all the time. We do not want it here, it thinks it owns the place, the way it sits on our porch. Well enough for now, back to the couch for some sleep.

Jake Fell Out Of Bed Horsing Around

I am only one going to talk today. My mom said I had a bad day yesterday. She is absolutely right. My mom put me outside because I kept begging and then she when and took a shower. I was a little scared, no one was letting me in the house. She takes long showers, I tell you. Then I came in and mom started cleaning the living room. She put a new couch cover on the couch, it look pretty. Well I was biting at the cover and she yelled me to stop.

My darn bone was under the cover and I anted it now. I kept doing it until she came over and sat down on it to stop me from biting the cover. She was shocked when she felt something hard. She got it out for me and said she was sorry for yelling at me. She gave me a kiss so I kissed her back.

Next, I wanted to eat and Pooh Bear was hogging the food dish again. She would not let me eat. I went by my mom and sat up pretty as I always do until she got the hint. She gave me a handful of my own food. Pooh tried to take it, but mom said “No Pooh Bear, that’s Jakes food.” I won again. I am a little stinker.

Then it time for bed. I was horsing around with Pooh Bear and I rolled over and right on the floor. It would be okay if my mom had a normal sized bed, but she has a Captain’s Pedestal, its real high. It was a long way down for me. I am just a little guy you know.

So, all in all it was a bad Jake day. Can’t wait to see what happens tomorrow.

Jake, Pooh Bear And The Cats

We are back and we are bad. Well at least that is what our mom says. She had a bad day yesterday. Jake here, I kept asking to go outside and all I did was sit on the deck and look out over the yard. I kept it up all morning and finally mom said, “No more, I am not getting any work done”. Well about fifteen minutes later, I asked to go out again and she said, “Go lay down and look out the window”. I really had to go so I went and pooped in the dining room. I guess I should only ask to go out when I have to go. She was so mad at me, she told me I was a naughty boy and ran up and gave her kisses so she would forgive me. I do that all the time when she calls me a naughty boy and then she loves me so much.

I am Bella the big cat. Jason came over tonight and I love him. He lets me jump into his lap and lay on my back while he rubs my tummy. He used to try to play with Jasmine, but after a couple pets, she would bite him. Lexie does not like him either. They do not like anybody. They only like mom and dad. I play with them, but they run away to fast, Jake stays and takes it for a few minutes. I beat him up again last night and he ran and hid behind mom again. What a baby he is, he thinks he is so tough. He can dish it out, but he cannot take it.

Pooh Bear here. I was feeling a bit sluggish today again. I think it is just the heat and because mom has the air-conditioning on all the time. I went and laid in the kitchen for a long time. I will probably feel better when the humidity goes down. My nose is so small I breathe funny when it is hot.

Lexie and Jasmine here. We just laid around upstairs were it is warm. We do not like that air-conditioning mom has going. Jasmine did manage to chase Jake a couple times, but he is to much of a chicken. I slept next to him last night, he likes me in bed, but he does not like Bella and Jasmine in bed by mom. Bella snuck in bed with mom and she whispered to Bella, so Jake did not know that Bella was there.

We’re Back From A One Day Hiatus

Well Pooh Bear here, I was sick on Monday. I didn’t want to go outside, I didn’t eat or drink water. I just laid around all day until bedtime, I started feeling better. Mom said time for bed and that means a treat, so I ran out of house, ran around the yard a little, and back in the house for my treat. I felt so much better mom said. Tuesday was a boring day, Jake and I ran and played in the house, and then we went outside and horsed around. I jumped on my mom and laid on her so she could not get any work done.

I am Jake, I played with Bella today and dragged him around the house. He kept batting me in the head so I had to protect myself. I found a new place to play in the yard and mom doesn’t like it. I play with something in the woodpile. Mom wants to know what is so important, but I am not telling.

Lexie, Bella and Jasmine here now. We just laid around a lot, but Jake and Bella played together. They play rough and then Jake wants play like that with me, Jasmine, so I spit at him and hit in the head with my paws. I don’t use my claws, but sometimes I would like to. Lexie here, I was chasing a bug around the living room and then it flew on the bay window. It was so funny, Pooh Bear was trying to climb the glass to get the bug that was moving higher and higher.

Mom caught it and threw it outside. She was laughing at Pooh. The neighbor’s cat walked by the window again and the two dogs went nuts, barking and growling. They don’t like that cat, it comes on our porch and climbs into the edge of the bay window and taunts us. I, Lexie spit and hiss and it does the same thing through the window and the dogs go nuts barking. Mom gets so mad when it does that.

Jake here again, that cat came in the backyard a couple weeks ago and attacked me. Mom was screaming, I was barking and Pooh just sat there and watched. It’s a mean cat.
